My interests | Having an innate ability to draw, I enjoy sketching, painting, sculpting, animating, designing clothes (western and eastern, I would want to launch my own brand someday inshaAllah [I already have ideas for it :) plus I don't think there is anything wrong with having style and being able to adapt and/or appreciate decent fashion ]), Of course all of the above is done staying within the bounds of Islam.i.e. no faces, therefore, no life drawing although its my passion! I love to draw human beings just as they are. (but I abstain from it)
I also enjoy cooking (especially exploring authentic new recipes from around the world)
I sometimes play strategy computer games
I am not into reading a lot but i try pretty much to get the hang of it since more than half of family members LOVE to read! [my mother has a whole library at home] I am inherently not interested in reading due to my paternal genes which is why I work on it.
I am interested in watching BBC Food, documentaries, Discovery channel, the Nat Geo channel, basically any documentary channel concerning animals (they fascinate me) (we have two adorable cats at home, just so you know) I may like to keep pets in future also but i would be totally fine if my spouse does not.
I am also very much interested in watching movies with a substance. I do watch movies of every genre though, depending on my mood. (Indian movies are not included, btw, except one or two)
I like getting different haircuts, keeping long and short lengths (and yes, I don't believe that it is wrong for a Muslim woman to get a haircut)
Oh and I like to give good advice to people (I don't know why, but I like it (I think it is a sort of Sadaqah))
I would want to host a reasonable talk show someday which would provide knowledge to the viewers and do something big for my country and the world :)
i really enjoy trips to other countries. I have only traveled to very few but would really want to go to places and explore different people and their lifestyles with my spouse, friends and/or family. It is always more fun when there is a group of people.
I have been to most of the places in my own country (many thanks to college trips)
I love singing but I don't sing anymore (I quit because of religion)
I ADORE horses and LOVE riding on them. I ride well. I would like to keep 2 horses in the future...I know its very expensive to keep them but hey, there's no harm thinking about it, is there? you never know when Allah fulfills your dreams. | |
