Well, I tend to procrasinate. So I am trying to change that. I am quite fussy. Sometimes I like to do things my own way especially if I know I am right. I also have a bit of an obsession with things being in their right places:). However, as a person who always re-examines her life constantly, I am slowly changing my bad habits. I believe that there's always room for improvement and we have to constantly strive to be better until the day we die.

My parents are my role models and I admire the prophet's wives.

I like to read and write. Sounds pretty boring, doesn't it? But I really enjoy reading. There's nothing like reading a good book:). Writing can be taxing, but it is wonderful when you have the finished product with a by-line that says it is yours.

I am a practicing Muslim, but not a perfect one; therefore, I read my dua book regularly. I also try to read my quran regularly.

I love going to the theatre or watching plays.
I am not much of a sporty person. I like to walk and jog. But I haven't been jogging lately.

I would love to travel more, but I have a fear of flying. I freak out especially if it is a long haul flight.

I am interested in social issues and love to have an intellectual conversation.

I guess age is just a number although I am going to be contradictory and say it does matter sometimes.

I would prefer someone who comes from the UK, Canada or the USA or an English-speaking country because I am familiar with English so I wouldn't have many barriers to cross. I don't mind relocating depending on whether it is convenient for the person involved. I want to lead a decent life. I have been a globetrotter most of my life so living in another country is not a problem. I don't have any ulterior motives.

I don't care about race. In fact, I would love to get married to someone from a completely different race because Allah created us so that we can get to know one another.

I am looking for someone who fears Allah because when you do, then you are afraid to do bad things. A person who is honest to a fault would be great because I wouldn't be afraid that the person may be hiding things. I think the truth always hurts but I still appreciate it. I also believe that honesty plays an important role in any relationship and trust of course. You need to also communicate very well. Miscommunication leads to major problems in a relationship.

An even-tempered person and one who likes to cook can be plus qualities. I am quite conscious of what I eat so I am looking for someone with similar eating habits. I am a pasta person. I love it because it is quick and easy to prepare.

I am not a cultural person so I am okay with a person who is not bothered about culture. Islamic culture is part of Islam, so that's okay.

I am partial to tall people. I think we should be health conscious because we need to take care of our body so that we don't get sick and we can worship Allah.

Education is important and I mean a holistic one. I don't have a superiority complex when it comes to people who don't have a Masters or a PhD. But I think similar educational backgrounds help a relationship to move smoothly.

I would like a simple wedding Insha'Allah. It is sunnah to have a walimah so I would want to have that Insha'Allah.

I don't want to have many children because children are a huge responsibility. I want at least one so that my husband and I can bring the child up the Islamic way and expand the Ummah. My parents did a good job with my sisters and I. May their final abode be Al-Jannah.

In a different country

I am an educationalist so I love studying. I would like to do something Islamic in the future. I want to get married in the near future and take my teaching qualifications because I want to teach English in an International school or an English language centre.

I would love see myself settled down in the near future with my husband, involved in Islamic activities and with a Masters in English Literature or Sociology. I love studying so I wouldn't mind pursuing my PhD as well. I would also love to become a writer Insha'Allah.

I can't think of anything else to write. I just want to say that I am praying that Allah cuts this journey short by matching me with the right person Insha'Allah.
