That is riya and it is wrong. Many people here think that a Muslim woman who asks for a low mahr (dowry) is a "cheap woman". Astaghfirullah hal adzim. Actually, the Muslimah who asks for a low mahr is the best one. You cannot put a price on Iman. Iman is what makes someone a valuable person, not money. I don't like people who show off.
