manhaj salaf merupakan satu-satunya manhaj yang harus diikuti di dalam memahami dienul Islam ini, karena:
1. Manhaj salaf adalah manhaj yang benar dan berada di atas jalan yang lurus.
2. Mengikuti selain manhaj salaf berarti menentang Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam, yang berakibat akan diberi keleluasaan untuk bergelimang di dalam kesesatan dan tempat kembalinya adalah Jahannam.
3. Orang-orang yang mengikuti manhaj salaf dengan sebaik-baiknya, pasti mendapat ridha dari Allah dan tempat kembalinya adalah surga yang penuh dengan kenikmatan, kekal abadi di dalamnya.
4. Manhaj salaf adalah manhaj yang harus dipegang erat-erat, tatkala bermunculan pemahaman-pemahaman dan pendapat-pendapat di dalam memahami dienul Islam, sebagaimana yang diwasiatkan oleh Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam.
5. Orang-orang yang mengikuti manhaj salaf, mereka adalah sekelompok dari umat ini yang senantiasa tampil di atas kebenaran, dan senantiasa mendapatkan pertolongan dan kemenangan dari Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
6. Orang-orang yang mengikuti manhaj salaf, mereka adalah golongan yang selamat dikarenakan mereka berada di atas jalan yang ditempuh oleh Rasulullah dan para sahabatnya.
Oleh karena itu, tidaklah mengherankan jika:
1. Al Imam Abdurrahman bin ‘Amr Al Auza’i berkata:
“Wajib bagimu untuk mengikuti jejak salaf walaupun banyak orang menolakmu, dan hati-hatilah dari pemahaman/pendapat tokoh-tokoh itu walaupun mereka mengemasnya untukmu dengan kata-kata (yang indah).” (Asy Syari’ah, karya Al Imam Al Ajurri, hal. 63).
2. Al Imam Abu Hanifah An Nu’man bin Tsabit berkata:
“Wajib bagimu untuk mengikuti atsar dan jalan yang ditempuh oleh salaf, dan hati-hatilah dari segala yang diada-adakan dalam agama, karena ia adalah bid’ah.” (Shaunul Manthiq, karya As Suyuthi, hal. 322, saya nukil dari kitab Al Marqat fii Nahjis Salaf Sabilun Najah, hal. 54).
3. Al Imam Abul Mudhaffar As Sam’ani berkata:
“Syi’ar Ahlus Sunnah adalah mengikuti manhaj salafush shalih dan meninggalkan segala yang diada-adakan (dalam agama).” (Al Intishaar li Ahlil Hadits, karya Muhammad bin Umar Bazmul hal. 88).
4. Al Imam Qawaamus Sunnah Al Ashbahani berkata:
“Barangsiapa menyelisihi sahabat dan tabi’in (salaf) maka ia sesat, walaupun banyak ilmunya.” (Al Hujjah fii Bayaanil Mahajjah, 2/437-438, saya nukil dari kitab Al Intishaar li Ahlil Hadits, hal. 88)
5. Al-Imam As Syathibi berkata:
“Segala apa yang menyelisihi manhaj salaf, maka ia adalah kesesatan.” (Al Muwafaqaat, 3/284), saya nukil melalui Al Marqat fii Nahjis Salaf Sabilun Najah, hal. 57).
6. Syaikhul Islam Ibnu Taimiyyah berkata:
“Tidak tercela bagi siapa saja yang menampakkan manhaj salaf, berintisab dan bersandar kepadanya, bahkan yang demikian itu disepakati wajib diterima, karena manhaj salaf pasti benar.” (Majmu’ Fatawa, 4/149). " |
